Tasty-Tuesday

I got a little too busy to post yesterday. Oli went back to the vet to get his stitches out only to find out he has a little bit of an infection so the stupid E-collar has to stay on for 5 more days. I have to keep socks on his back feet with first-aid tape wrapped around the top to keep them on. I’m just not sure how much more humiliation this poor guy can take!
On a lighter note the weather was AWESOME yesterday and it’s supposed to be 85 today! Yay! Since the temperature is on the rise we invited Matt’s parents over for a cookout. I made “all-American loaded burgers” with homemade French-fried onions. Since I had the fryer out (I rarely use the darn thing) I decided to fry the potatoes too. To top off the meal I made homemade apple crisp for dessert. The burgers were only so-so (good flavor but not worthy of making again according to Matt) but the French-fried onions were deeeeelish and oh so easy! Yeah I know I can buy them in the can but I like to try to make things from scratch when I can. More for the challenge than anything else.

ENJOY!

Gonna have to save this for when our onions pop out of the ground pre-fall. YUMMO!

What is the source you are using to print out your recipes. It is very cute and I MUST know.

Thanks in advance.
