I can can!

Canning wasn’t that bad with a little hand-holding from my mom last Thursday. Here are a few pictures of the process. (I forgot to take a picture of us actually filling the jars with fruit but it was a little crazy in the kitchen at that point.)



First we gave these beauties a rinse. *They had no idea what they were in for.



Ok ladies time for a dip in the hot tub for 4 or 5 minutes.



Everybody out of the hot tub and into the ice bath. Wowza what a shock that must be!

Then we'll peel your skins right off!


Here they are in their birthday suit.

All sliced and ready to go.

Some got mooshed up and put back in a pot to become jam.

Back in the hot tub.

Oh so pretty!

And a pretty little helper!

The mess was not pretty but totally worth it!

For this!

And that my friends is how this chinobilly made peach jam and peach slices.
