Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Debby and I made chocolate covered strawberries together. I love spending time with this lovely lady more than I love chocolate. Thank you friend, praise God for our friendship.

The Griswold “Will-amini” Family Vacation Day 1

September 20, 2009
Our sidekicks Eric, Jen, Ethan & JJ were crazy enough to go on vacation with us...or did we go with them?...We went with them to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Still, they're crazy enough to let us join them. We had a great time, as always.
On our first day of vacation we visited Balboa Park because we, Chinobillies, are oohhhh soooo cultural. Seriously though it is always on our must see list every time we visit San Diego. The park’s beauty certainly attracts us and there are so many things to do that won’t cost you an arm and a leg either!

Eric and Matt admiring the architecture.

Matt & the girls checking out the Koi pond in front of the Botanical Building (always beautiful and free too!)

My sweet girls in the Botanical Garden.
This little cutie is J.J. He's so sweet I could just eat him up!

Lovebirds?

Everyone’s favorite this time around was the Model Railroad Museum.

It features the world’s largest model railroad museum.
And features four layouts

which depict railroads of the Southwest.

Most of my photos from this day are really grainy due to horrible lighting in the museums. I'm pretty sure it is a conspiracy to ensure no one makes it out of their with decent photos. Don't worry I have my people checking into it...as soon as I get some people...oh never mind.

Bree and Abby holding hands over the wind machine that is making the beach ball float in the air. They loved it! My personal favorite is the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. We watched "BUGS" in the dome shaped IMAX Theater and experimented with hundreds of hands on type science exhibits. We also visited the Automotive Museum where we saw Louie Mattar’s Fabulous $75,000.00 car. Unfortunately I have no photos of this museum because I was, well, I was just plain lazy.

So there you have it folks.

Goldwater Lake

*click on photo to see larger image*

Today was a beautiful fall day. Just a little chill has crept into the air over the last few days and it has been wonderful. There is something about fall that makes me want to go fishing so fishing is what we did. My friend Stephanie and her daughter joined us for a little fishin', a little hikin', a little playin, and a little picnicin'. Oh and check out Stephanie's not so favorite part of the day...right next to the "Day Trip" label is her friend Mr. Snake. Poor girl about turned white as a ghost but all the kids wanted to touch it. Bree even argued "but mamma, it's not a rattlesnake...". Yeah I still don't think so Bubba Lou but your daddy sure would be proud of you. (and you held it together well Miss Steph as I know how much you loath snakes!)

I just love these last lazy days of summer. I praise God for allowing me to experience life again through my children. He is so good!

Princess Party For The Birthday Girls

We hosted a princess party for the twins over the weekend. What fun we had! The girls invited six of their friends over for games and crafts and food and cake and fun! Abby was tickled pink that her daddy got to be there (Abby thinks daddy's don't get to go to parties) and Bree was tickled pink because...well...she got to wear pink.
I am truly blessed not only with amazing daughters but I have amazing friends too. Thank you all so much for spending time with us!
Enjoy...

A Chinobilly Playdate

What a super fun day we had last Thursday with our sweet friends. I had the best time watching all ten kids cool off in the tiny chinobilly pool, visiting with amazing friends and of course eating tasty food. My girls loved every minute with their friends and even wanted to know if they were coming back for another play date the next day.
Have a great week everybody!

Playdate with Grace

Hello bloggy friends. I've been meaning to post this layout for a while now....So stinkin' cute! Thanks Stephanie for the super fun day. Hope to do it again really soon.

I get to scrapbook with my friend Jen today then I'm off to bible study tonight. I'm very excited about it. I should be in my garden weeding today but I'm up for some much needed girl talk and scrap therapy (the only thing that keeps me paper scrappin' is the girl talk). Weeds, like laundry will always be there. I do have a bunch of veggies beginning to look promising so I'll try to post pictures soon.

Happy Monday!

My Friend Sooze

My friend Susie and I have a whole lot in common. First of all we both have Obsessive Scrapbook Disorder. It’s really a great disorder to have but the only cure is A LOT of therapy. Therapy works best when done with others who also have OSD. Susie has taught me so much, inspired my creativity, and caused more than enough "Susie Envy". :)
We also share the gift of adoption; she was adopted as a child and she and her husband Clint adopted a little boy six months before we adopted our twins. She, along with so many other friends, helped us get through the heartbreaking infertility phase, then the oh so long waiting phase, and the roller coaster adoption phase. God placed her in my life for this special reason I know.
But the yummiest commonality is we both LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, dump cake. So it's no surprise that she made me my very own dump cake for my birthday with my favorite fruit, peaches. Yummy! Thanks so much Sooze.
Now, I think I’ll go dish up a plate of Peach Dump Cake and get some scrapbook therapy. Have a blessed week everyone!
